Some units of the South Dakota National Guard will get new equipment and a mission modification.
Adjutant General Jeff Marlette says the 147th Artillery will get a major upgrade……
Marlette says that will lead to the restoration of “Charlie Battery” back to that unit…
Marlette says it looks like the Air Guard wing will keep flying their F-16 fighter jets for the next few years…..
Marlette had earlier said both the Guard and Air Guard are both at or above one hundred percent of their authorized troop strength.
