SD National Guard to Provide Support for the Presidential Inauguration

Members of the South Dakota National Guard will be providing support for President-Elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration in Washington, D.C., on January twentieth. Major Anthony Deiss from the Guard’s public affairs office says a decent number of service members will be making the trip….

The soldiers and airmen will be in the Capitol for about a week. They will join Guardsmen from thirty-five other states and were chosen based on their skill sets….

Other South Dakota service members attending the inauguration include several medical support personnel from the Rapid City-based 82nd Civil Support Team and 109th Regional Support Group.
