The South Dakota Health Care Solutions Coalition met again last week in Pierre, working toward a compromise on Medicaid coverage expansion.
Senator Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton, a member of the group, says they continue to make slow progress…………

[Hunhoff is hopeful Governor Dennis Daugaard will include some of their recommendations in his budget address.
Hunhoff says he expects the group will come up with some bill proposals for the legislature….

Hunhoff says the solutions they are working on would extend coverage to about fifty thousand people…………

The program would involve federal funding intended for the Indian Health Service, but used to cover native Americans under Medicaid.
