While there have been several legislative measures backing workforce development in the past few years, there probably will not be a similar effort in the 2016 session.
South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard says while there won’t be a big legislative push, the state Labor Department is making some changes……

Daugaard says that should more closely align a workers jobs skills with what companies need…..

Daugaard says they also want the Labor Department to be able to link to more companies to list jobs…..

There have been several grant and scholarship programs that have been implemented in an effort to close the labor gap.
