SD Legislature Ends Main Run of 2014 Session

The main run of the 2014 South Dakota legislature wrapped up late Friday as both Houses passed the 2015 budget, and adjourned.

Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says most of the debate focused on the issues and not personalities………

Stevens says a three point three five percent increase for state aid to education was significant, and more than what Governor Dennis Daugaard suggested…………

Stevens says legislators also made a financial commitment to tech schools………

Lawmakers have one more day in the session, scheduled for March 31st.
