The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota legislature wants to talk to those involved in Governor Kristi Noem’s actions with the Department of Labor, the head of the Appraiser Certification program and her daughter.

Committee member, Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, says they are following up on questions that have been raised about the process…

Sherry Bren, the long-time head of the Certification program, resigned, and then received a two hundred thousand dollar settlement.

Hunhoff says there are some details that need to be settled…

Hunhoff says the legislature has limited authority over the actions of the Governor….

The committee has also asked Labor Department Secretary Marcia Hultman to appear, along with Sandra Gresh, president of the Professional Appraisers Association of South Dakota. The session is set for Thursday morning.
