SD Legislators Get Budget Update, and Warning

The interim Appropriations Committee of the South Dakota legislature got an update on the state budget at their meeting this week in Pierre.
Jim Terwilliger, Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Finance and Management, says they came in almost right on the numbers…

Terwilliger had some warnings for committee members, saying changes in internet access charges will be reflected in next year’s budget…….

Terwilliger says they will also see a reduction in taxes from cell phone providers due to the use of more data and less talk……

Terwilliger says they also expect low crops prices to have an impact on sales tax collections into next year.
