SD Legislators Expecting Budget Cuts

South Dakota legislators will have to agree on a balanced budget before they go home next month.
This year’s revenue projection has been cut about twenty-five million dollars, while next years has been cut twenty-eight million dollars.
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says there aren’t enough dollars to go around…..

Hunhoff, Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee, says they have already been searching for any extra dollars…..

Hunhoff says some good, needed programs won’t be funded this year…..

Appropriators will work through the process of paring down the budget in the next nine legislative days.
