SD Legislators Consider Recreational Marijuana Rules

While the South Dakota Supreme Court continues its consideration of the constitutional amendment that would legalize recreational marijuana, legislators have been meeting to come up with guidelines.

Senator Art Rusch of Vermillion says the “Adult Use Marijuana Study Subcommittee” has been working through a number of issues….

Rusch says if the Supreme Court gives marijuana a green light, they want to have some potential rules ready….

Rusch says they also want to make sure the business has local controls….

Voters approved the constitutional amendment last November and the Justices have been considering the issue since arguments last spring.
