South Dakota lawmakers will study access to mental health services, and special education during the interim.
The topics were selected following a survey of legislators.
During Executive Board discussion of the studies, Senator Jim Bolin of Canton says mental health is a broad topic, and they should narrow the focus……

Bolin says most summer committees don’t hold many meetings……

The original proposal was to study mental health services and school safety.
Representative Spencer Hawley of Brookings says they could possibly combine the topics……

A total of fifteen issues were suggested for study.
