South Dakota legislators will pick up the session today, past the halfway point of the 2016 session.
Senator Bernie Hunhoff says the process has to accelerate this week………

One of the main bills of the session, the sales tax increase for teacher pay, got sidetracked last week in the House by the addition of a number of amendments. Hunhoff says he hopes representatives can work through all those additions…..

Hunhoff says there will be amendments waiting when the bill gets to the Senate….

There is a good chance the bill, HB1182, will be delayed from today to Thursday due to the absences of some key legislators.
