SD Legislators Back in Pierre, Veto on the Agenda, Special Session Possible

South Dakota legislators are back in Pierre today, for the final day of the 2021 session.

The only agenda item so far is dealing with the Governor’s style & form veto of HB1217, the trans gender, women in sports bill.

House Speaker Spencer Gosch of Glenham issued a statement over the weekend….

Gosch says he will recommend that legislators send the bill back to the Governor…

Gosch also sent a note to legislators advising them that the Governor planned to call an immediate special session to deal with the trans gender issue.
