SD Legislators Back at Work; Waiting on Teacher Pay Bills

South Dakota legislators return to Pierre today to pick up the fourth week of the session.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says they will probably see some of the most anticipated bills of the session……

Stevens says he is hearing more consensus about the issues of education funding and teacher pay…..

While the Governor’s plan involves raising the state sales tax, there is talk of some alternative funding methods. Stevens says legislators need to have some options…..

Legislators will work four day weeks into the first few days of March. There will be a total of thirty eight days in this years session.
