District 18 legislators agreed that finding a replacement for IM22 will be a high priority as the 2017 legislative session wraps up. The last forum of the year was held Saturday in Yankton.

Representative Mike Stevens, a republican, says every lawmaker wants to get it right…..

Stevens says the bills passed this year can be amended in the future…..

Stevens says the public should be involved in the rewrite of IM22………

IM22 was approved by voters last November. It would have set up an ethics commission, and create public financing of political campaigns. It was repealed by the legislature earlier in the session.
