SD Legislators Again Question School’s Trans Gender Policy

Republican legislators on the Government Operations and Audit Committee used a survey to question school sports policies for trans gender students.

Dan Swartos, Executive Director of the South Dakota High School Activities Association, was explaining the outcome of a survey sent to all school districts..

Representative Isaac Latterell of Tea then questioned Swartos about their gender definitions..

Democratic Senator Susan Wismer of Britton questioned the basis for the whole discussion…

Swartos told the committee there are currently no transgender athletes competing in girls sports.
