In an attempt to bolster their enrollment, the Tri Valley School District sent letters to parents of home school kids, inviting them to visit on September 29th, with the promise of a free laptop. That date is when enrollments are certified for the state aid formula.

Because of that, Tri Valley Superintendent Mike Lodmel was called before the Government Operations and Audit Committee……

Lodmel says he wanted more parents to see what was available in their school district……

Representative Sue Peterson of Sioux Falls, wants more than an apology……

The committee, meeting in Sioux Falls, took no official action.
