SD Legislative Task Force Wants to Hear About Campaign Finance Changes

A legislative committee working on changes to the states campaign finance laws is planning on two listening sessions before they write any bills for next year’s legislature.
Representative Julie Bartling of Gregory says a subcommittee of the Government Accountability Task Force will meet next Monday in Rapid City, and Tuesday in Sioux Falls……

Bartling says they will incorporate the public information and see if they can agree……

Bartling says it is difficult to put a tight lid on campaign finances….

The committee grew out of the legislatures repeal of IM22 during this year’s session.
