South Dakota legislative democrats are working out details of a bill that would fund pre – K programs for public schools.

Kennedy says while the legislature could authorize the pilot programs, they would let the Department of Education work through the details…..

The Yankton School Board authorized a free, pre-K program that started in January. The first year cost will be about eighty thousand dollars.
