SD Legislative Committee Updated on Mid Central Audit

South Dakota State Auditor General Marty Guindon appeared before the Government Operations and Audit Committee of the legislature Tuesday in Pierre.
He spoke about the steps taken by the office of legislative audit related to federal grants given to the Mid Central Educational Cooperative and then to the GEAR-UP program.
Guindon says the state got eighteen million dollars in federal funding between 2006 and 2015, with eleven million going to Mid Central……….

Guindon told committee member Senator Stace Nelson that the full report will be released next month…..

Guindon says his office is working with Mid Central on the audit…

Mid Central has until May nineteenth to respond to the audit report.
