South Dakota legislators will move quickly to attempt to find solutions to lake and land issues in northeast South Dakota.
The Executive Board approved a summer study to look at the issue, and appointed Representative Lee Qualm of Platte to chair it………
Many lake rose out of their original banks, and flooded nearby land, creating issues for ag producers who own that land, but can’t use it.
Qualm says there are a lot of conflicting issues…..
Qualm says he hopes to find a solution that everyone can live with….
Governor Dennis Daugaard has raised the possibility of a special session of the legislature as a way to get to a solution.
