SD Legislative Committee to Hold Hearing on Rising Overtime Costs

The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota legislature holds their first meeting of the interim Tuesday in Pierre.
One agenda item deals with rising overtime costs at the Human Services Center in Yankton, and the Developmental Center in Redfield.
Committee Vice Chair, Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, says the costs are escalating…..

Hunhoff says there are incentives in place to hire workers for both facilities…..

Hunhoff says the committee will also get an update on the possible changes coming in federal funding of Medicaid…..

The committee will also get an update on the status of the state radio system, and costs for a needed upgrade.
