A South Dakota Senate Committee has decided not to ban executive branch lobbyists from areas near the Senate chamber.
The Legislative Procedure Committee decided to table a proposal to ban lobbyists from those areas.
Senate Majority Leader Blake Curd of Sioux Falls says they have heard from a lot of people on the issue….
Curd says if there are future problems, they can make changes later…
Senator Ryan Maher (maa-her) of Isabel had proposed the rule, saying that lobbyists often interfere with lawmakers ability to get their work done.
