A South Dakota interim legislative committee is recommending the closure of a unit at the Human Service Center in Yankton.
Senator Deb Soholt says those in the nursing home at HSC could better be served closer to home…

Soholt, of Sioux Falls, chaired the “Access to Mental Health Services Study” Committee.
She says the Human Services Center is not the best place for those patients….

Soholt says they suggest a task force be formed to come up with alternatives…
