SD Legislative Committee Kills Industrial Hemp Bill

A bill that would authorize the production and sale of industrial hemp was killed by a South Dakota legislative committee today.
The bill was sponsored by Representative Mike Verchio of Hill City.

A do pass recommendation on the bill failed on a four to five vote. It was then sent to the 41st legislative day on a five to three vote, effectively killing the bill.
