The South Dakota House State Affairs Committee has passed a bill that would protect faith based adoption, or child placement agencies that work with state government.
SB149 has already passed through the Senate.

Committee Chairman, Representative Larry Rhoden of Union Center, says it is a confusing legal issue…..
The bill got a do pass recommendation on a nine to four vote, and will now move to the House floor.
