The final state budget for 2018 will have to be balanced and approved this week before lawmakers wrap up the main run of the session.
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee, says they will go over all the agency budgets again……

Hunhoff says the big agencies, including Human Services, Social Services, and the Board of Regents, will probably see the deepest cuts…..

The current budget is short about twenty-five million dollars, and next years is about twenty-eight million dollars short.

Hunhoff says legislators will have time to review the final proposed budget……

Legislators will return on March 27th for one final day.
