Eight legislators, six republican, and two democrats, are sponsoring a resolution calling for South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley to appoint a special prosecutor for the EB-5, and GEAR UP cases.
Democratic Senator Craig Kennedy of Yankton says the cases are not making much progress…..
Kennedy says they think a special prosecutor could look at the cases from a fresh angle….
Kennedy, a lawyer and former states attorney, says the special prosecutor could help determine where the case should go….
The resolution has been sent to the Senate State Affairs Committee. No hearing date has been set yet.
