SD Lawmakers Agree to Spending Recommendations

South Dakota lawmakers signed off on recommendations of the Joint Committee on Appropriations during the special session Monday.

The state got over one point two billion dollars from the federal government for COVID-19 related costs.

Hunhoff says the resolutions passed by the legislature gives the Governor authority to spend the almost six hundred million dollars still outstanding…

Hunhoff says the recommendations are a compromise…

Hunhoff says she believes the dollars can be spent by the end of the year to meet federal guidelines.
