SD Lakes Issue Coming Back to the Legislature in January

While a special session of the South Dakota legislature settled the non-meandered lake issue, it will be back in January.
Senator Jason Frerichs of Wilmot says much of the access issue is dependent on water management…..

Frerichs, whose district in northeast South Dakota is in the center of the lakes dispute, says he leans toward the landowners…..

The bill passed in the special session sunsets next summer. Frerichs says legislators need to take time now to learn about the subject before January…………

Frerichs says the lake issue has been the most emotional of his nine-year tenure in the legislature.
