SD Housing Money Hung Up

About two hundred million dollars in housing grants and loans has been stuck in Pierre over a difference of opinion. The legislature authorized the Housing Authority to spend the money, but their authority only covers low income housing. Governor Kristi Noem wanted her office of Economic Development to handle the money.

The money is designed to help with the infrastructure needed for housing developments.
