SD House & Senate Redistricting Committees Split on Proposed Maps

The South Dakota House and Senate committees working on redistricting have decided to go their own ways with different map proposals.

Senate Committee vice chair Jim Bolin of Canton says it’s something to watch….

Bolin says most the disagreements center on districts in and around Sioux Falls….

The committees will be on the road starting next week for public input sessions. Bolin says that may help the committees past their jam….

A special session is scheduled for November 8th to approve a new legislative district map.
