SD House & Senate Redistricting Committees Considering Maps

The House and Senate Legislative Redistricting Committees of the South Dakota legislature held a number of public meetings around the state this week as part of the process of drawing new legislative district maps.

Committee member, Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says he heard differing priorities at each end of the state…..

Cwach says he is learning about what will work and won’t work through the process…

Cwach says the committees have to start narrowing their options….

The committees will meet again the next two Mondays in Pierre to try to come up with a proposal for the special session set for November 8th.
