South Dakota House republicans met over the weekend to choose their leaders for the 2019 legislative session.
Representative Lee Qualm of Platte was elected to serve another term as Majority Leader..
Representative Steven Haugaard (how-guard) of Sioux Falls was chosen as Speaker, Representative Spencer Gosch of Glenham as Speaker Pro-Tem and Representative Arch Beal of Sioux Falls as Assistant Majority Leader.
Qualm says it’s a good team….
Qualm says they are looking forward to working with Governor-elect Kristi Noem and the transition….
The legislature begins the 2019 session on January eighth.
