A bill that would restrict the use of state dollars and facilities in hosting lewd and lascivious programs was up for debate on the House floor yesterday. (Wednesday)
Sponsor, Representative Chris Karr of Sioux Falls said it’s not a proper use of state tax dollars…..

The issue grew out of a student sponsored drag show at South Dakota State University in Brookings.

The bill passed out of the House on a vote of sixty to ten. It now goes to a Senate committee.
