SD House Investigation Committee Defers on Impeachment

The South Dakota House Select Committee on Investigation has recommended that Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg not be impeached in connection with the death of Joe Boever near Highmore in September of 2020.

The vote of the committee was six to two against impeachment.

Committee Vice Chair, Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton, voted for the resolution to not impeach….

Stevens says the facts of the case didn’t fit the requirements for impeachment….

Stevens says their case was a constitutional one….

The House will return to Pierre on April 12th to consider the case for impeachment.
