The South Dakota House debated a resolution to call for a Constitutional Convention of the states to limit the power of the federal government and impose term limits on Members of Congress.

Sponsor, Representative Tom Pischke of Dell Rapids, says even debating these resolution can have an impact on Congress…

Representative Tim Goodwin of Rapid City says he has opposed these resolutions in the past…..

There were no opponents to the resolution that spoke.

The resolution was approved on a vote of thirty-nine to thirty. A similar resolution was defeated in a Senate committee.
