Twenty new troopers were sworn in to the South Dakota Highway Patrol on Friday. The class of twenty completed their yearlong training, and were assigned new cruisers and to their duty stations.
Highway Patrol Superintendent, Colonel Craig Price says they are already working on next years class…..
Price says while much of the training still focuses on high quality public service, they do change with the times….
Price says they continue to look for people interested in a career in law enforcement…..
The class was the largest added since twenty-five joined in 1974. The Patrol seeks to carry one hundred eighty nine troopers full time.
