The announcement this week by South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard that he would not push for Medicaid expansion in the 2017 legislative session was not good news for health care providers.
Scott Duke, President of the South Dakota Association of Health Care Organizations, says they have to alter their planning….

Duke says there may be ways to work with the Indian Health Service to expand care opportunities for native Americans…..

Duke says they don’t have enough information yet on new possible policies coming from Washington…..

Health care providers had been backing expansion as a way to provide better care, and cut costs.
