A South Dakota grocery store chain has launched several programs aimed at easing food insecurity, targeted at Native American reservations.

R.F. Buche, President of Buche Foods, appeared by video before the US House Rules Committee to talk about what they are doing. He says they have a program to bridge the gap when someone signs up for SNAP benefits….

Buche says they have a traveling grocery truck to help those in remote areas….

Buche says they are also setting up a self-serve food locker system in Marty……

Buche told the Committee that Congress has to enforce anti-trust laws to assure their customers have the same access to products as big chains do in urban areas.
