South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem updated legislators Tuesday on a surge in state revenues. She called the trend “historic”…….
Noem says legislators will have more one time money to work with….
That is on top of the almost two hundred million dollars waiting to be spent.
Noem says some of that one time money should be set aside in reserves and trust funds….
Noem also highlighted the states unemployment rate, now among the lowest in the country. The Joint Appropriations Committee is scheduled to set the revenue targets for the budget later this week.
