South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem proposed a so called “heartbeat bill” that would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, usually about six weeks after conception.
The House State Affairs Committee didn’t hold a hearing on the bill and Noem released a statement critical of the no action….

Noem says it was an unusual move by the committee….

Noem also disagreed with House Speaker Spencer Gosch….

A search of the legislative website doesn’t show any bill related to fetal heartbeat activity.
