South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem delivered her first State of the State speech to a joint meeting of the South Dakota legislature on Tuesday.
She outlined the good financial standing of the state, with no structural debt, and a fully funded retirement system.
Noem says the state made a giant economic leap when major banks were attracted to the state in the 1980s. She says she is pushing for “The Next Big Thing.”…….
Noem says improving the economy would help solve other problems…
Noem also says her administration will be the most transparent in history…
She also touched on pheasant habitat, agriculture, rural housing and improving education. Noem is expected to deliver her proposed budget in the next couple of weeks.
