South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is proposing to spend about fifty-four million dollars more than what was suggested by former Governor Dennis Daugaard.
She delivered her first budget address to the Wednesday.
She proposed two and a half percent increases for education, state employees and health care providers.

Noem says rules changes can also help long term care facilities and the families that depend on them..
She also proposed over four and half million dollars to fight methamphetamines, and five million dollars for broadband expansion.
