South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard did not call a special session of the legislature this summer to consider Medicaid expansion because he said he didn’t believe he had the votes to pass it.
Now he says he is ready to bring it to the 2017 session of the legislature……
Daugaard says he is ready to work with legislators to help them understand the financial workings of the deal with the federal government…..
Daugaard says he hopes legislators will take the time to look closely at the expansion proposal…..
Daugaard says even those lawmakers that have a philosophical problem with expansion should withhold judgement until they see all the facts.
