South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard says he is working through a lot of material connected to HB1008, the transgender bathroom bill that legislators passed and sent to his office.
He says he has been listening to the testimony on the bill, and reviewing documents….
Daugaard says he wants to make a good decision……
The Governor met with a group of transgender students and some parents, which he says was very helpful.
Daugaard says he is trying to understand the passion on both sides of the issue…..
The bill would require transgender students use bathrooms and locker rooms that correspond to their gender at birth.
