The 2016 general election is now just under a year away, and political parties are organizing.
Pam Roberts, Chair of the South Dakota Republican Party says they have spent most of this year raising money for the election push.
She says they have laid out their calendar for next year……
Roberts says they believe they have a strong ticket with Senator John Thune, Congresswoman Kristi Noem and Public Utilities Commissioner Chris Nelson at the top.
She says they are focused on the legislature and filling as many slots as they can…………
Roberts says they will also spend a lot of time and money on the basic mechanics………
Roberts says they also plan to contest a number of possible ballot issues.
