The Republican National Convention got off to a noisy start as delegations from several states attempted to change the rules, and open the voting for their Presidential candidate. That challenge failed.
South Dakota delegate Jason Glodt says there is a lot of energy in the hall…..

Glodt says he was not surprised that the challenge failed as delegates have to support the voters who sent them there….

Security has been tight around the arena in downtown Cleveland. Glodt says they were able to get in and out fairly quickly….

The convention runs through Thursday.
