The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota Legislature spent several hours Tuesday, again talking about financial issues surrounding the GEAR UP program.
Senator Stace Nelson says they don’t have any reports showing positive results from the money spent on GEAR UP……

Nelson, and Auditor General Marty Guindon had an exchange on the amount of money committed to the GEAR UP program…..

Guindon told the committee they did not come up with the same figures as Nelson…..

The committee voted to send letters to officials involved in the GEAR UP program, asking them to provide more information at a future meeting.
