The meeting of the Government Operations and Audit Committee in Pierre this morning got off to a rocky start with a dispute over approving the minutes of their last meeting, and a letter sent to a fellow committee member.
Committee Chair, Senator Deb Peters had sent a letter to Senator Stace Nelson, asking him to appear before the committee and reveal the sources he says point to corruption over the GEAR UP funds.
Nelson questioned Peters authority…..

Nelson told Peters he did not refuse to provide new information….

The minutes from the last meeting were then approved, with Nelson voting no.
