SD Executive Board Forms Task Force Focused on Spending Billions

Members of the South Dakota Legislatures Executive Board took steps to begin dealing with billions of federal dollars coming to the state under the “American Rescue Plan.”

House Speaker Spencer Gosch of Glenham says there isn’t much of a plan with the money…

The state will get about three point three billion dollars.

Senator Troy Heinert of Mission says board members have to remember the people in their districts…

Senator Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown proposed setting up a ten member task force to come up with plans to spend the money..

The task force will have legislative leaders along with members of the Appropriations Committees.
